Welcome to what will (hopefully) be the first in a regular series of blog posts over the next few weeks. I just wanted to throw out a very encouraging bit of email I recieved not too long ago. Hopefully, I won’t get my butt kicked for posting a personal email - as the “other guy” don’t know karate, but knows krazy - to quote the late, insane James Brown.
The “other guy” in this case is a huge hero of mine, Chris Hannah from the great rock band, with the great rock band name Propagandhi!
I got this a few weeks back:

thanks for the email, the kind words and especially for your work on the nader campaign. there are less than a handful of people on earth i can think of that i truly consider “heroes”. nader is one of them. he actually makes me wish i were an american citizen, so i could work on his campaign in an official capacity. someday the eric alterman’s and fat mike’s of the world will be universally regarded as the anti-democratic fools they are for their part in slandering his reputation.
anyways, don’t get discouraged. remember, at least you guys even *have* a Ralph! we have nothing comparable.

In more “real” news, Thomas and I are frantically trying to get materials in the hands of the needy. So, if you need them and haven’t gotten them yet, I swear we’re working on it. Shoestring doesn’t even begin to describe the budget. Yet, we’re standing toe to toe with a couple of money raising juggrenauts. Personally, I feel more comfortable with where MY donations are going. Thanks to all involved. Thomas, I, and the whole campaign thank you for your support and help. I know it isn’t always pretty, but we are trying to respond and involve you in the most efficienc, effective manner possible.
