The other day we sent you an article about how John McCain spent his bailout vacation.

Now we see that he was not alone, as AIG assuaged its bailout guilt with a deluxe California retreat. Just in case you’d been convinced that big business will actually use the bailout money to recapitalize and stabilize, we invite you to scan the nation’s beaches to see your tax dollars hard at work.

The problem is clear: The finance sector has not learned fiscal responsibility from this crisis. The bailout will not recapitalize our banks and businesses; it will merely reinforce the worst habits of corporate capitalism.
