Nader to Speak at Chicago's Apollo Theater, 7 pm, Weds. April 16
Ralph Nader, the Independent Candidate for President, will bring his "people fighting back" campaign to Illinois Wednesday, April 16, at 7 p.m. with a rally at the Apollo Theater in Chicago.
Mr. Nader will speak about solutions opposed by the Democratic and Republican candidates but put back on the table by the Nader/Gonzalez campaign. Among the alternatives to the corrupt corporate duopoly Mr. Nader will address are:

a definitive military and corporate withdrawal date from Iraq;

single-payer, expanded Medicare-style health insurance for all;
-
labor law reform and repeal of the anti-union provisions of the Taft-Hartley Act;
-
a solar-based sustainable energy policy; and,
-
an end to the corporate welfare and corporate crime that has resulted in millions losing pensions and jobs.
The Nader/Gonzalez campaign is launching a massive petition drive for ballot status in Illinois. Nader/Gonzalez supporters are determined to give voters a choice. Mr. Nader will discuss the ballot drive strategy and petitions will be available.
Advance tickets $12. At the door $10 general admission, $5 students with ID, $5 low income families.
